Approach
“Everybody’s job should be making the next guy’s job easier,” I always say, from holding open a door to thoroughly flightchecking a file before it goes to print, or to validating Web pages prior to uploading to a site.
Working on a project, I consider users down the line—the customer or client, a reader, a supervisor or manager, staffers in support divisions, press operators—and strive to anticipate their needs and take steps to fulfill them. I’m keen on helping departments and companies run smoother and better by predicting what might be requested. That’s the way I roll.
